Another major multinational has pulled out of Russia as the conflict between the two countries escalates. Rio Tinto is terminating all commercial relationships with Russian companies, a spokesman for the mining giant said early Tuesday Beijing time, Reuters reported. Rio Responded to Jiemian news by saying the information was true and an official statement would be issued later. Rio has said it has no operating assets or employees in Russia or Ukraine. But its Oyu Tolgoi copper and gold project in Mongolia, which buys fuel and other goods from Russia, will be affected. Rio's Queensland alumina operations will also be affected.
